Polyester resin are tailored raw materials for single-component moisture-curing polyurethane hot melt adhesives (PUR). They are primarily linear copolymers with medium molecular weight and terminal hydroxyl functional groups.
Based on morphology, the products can be categorized into three basic series:
- Amorphous
- Liquid or semi-crystalline
- Crystalline solid
The product series are designed as a modular system, with most polyester resin being mutually compatible. However, many applications also require partially incompatible but miscible systems.
Our modular systems enable the precise formulation of reactive PUR hot melt adhesives, characterized by low application temperatures and high heat resistance.
Advantages of reactive hot melt adhesives:
- Excellent viscosity and color stability during processing
- Strong adhesion to various substrates
- Solutions for diverse applications, including automotive, packaging, textile industry, wood processing, bookbinding, and bonding in sandwich structures
- Suitable for common hot melt adhesive equipment such as drum and spray guns, filters, and hot melt applicators.
